Middle Tennessee (2-2) vs. Florida Atlantic (1-3) Game Preview
Broadcast, TV, Game Time
Date: Saturday, Sept. 30th
Game Time: 7:00 pm ET
Venue: FAU Football Stadium, Boca Raton, FL
What’s Going To Happen
Middle Tennessee QB Brent Stockstill will still be out, but that shouldn’t matter. Buffalo quarterbacks – its star, Tyree Jackson, got hurt – combined to hit 18-of-27 passes for 254 yards and a score.
Will FAU be able to get the running game going at home? Devin Singletary is a player, running for 156 yards and three scores against a solid UB D, but now he’s going against a Blue Raider defensive front that stuffed Bowling Green for just one net yard on 29 carries.
Middle Tennessee is wasting too many scoring opportunities, and it’s not pushing the ball down the field at all – an injured Richie James is hurting the receiving corps – but more than anything else, the defense needs to come up with takeaways.
FAU will stay alive by winning the turnover battle, but the Blue Raider offense will be just good enough to get by in a game that’ll be offensively challenged.
