What’s Going To Happen
Just how awful is Bowling Green?
0-3 on the year, the Falcons weren’t even close against Michigan State and Northwestern, and they lost at home to South Dakota. Things get easier next week against Akron, but coming up with a win – any win – might just turn the season around in a hurry.
Middle Tennessee got rolled by Minnesota 34-3 – the offense just isn’t clicking. It’s not going to be any stronger with QB Brent Stockstill and WR Richie James both hurting and questionable – at best – to play.
Even so, the offense should move on a Falcon defense that can’t come up with a third down stop. Bowling Green’s passing game isn’t working at all, completing just 46% of the throws so far.
It’s the bad offense vs. the bad defense – but that bad defense isn’t generating enough offense, either.
The Falcons will be competitive, but at home, the Blue Raiders will stuff the run and force the BGSU O to win through the air. That won’t happen.
