Maryland 63, Towson 17: 3 Quick Game Thoughts
Check out 3 Quick Game Thoughts on Maryland’s blowout win over Towson
Score: Maryland 63, Towson 17
Prediction: Maryland 54, Towson 3
Maryland 63, Towson 17
1. And there’s Kasim Hill. It’s asking way too much for any true freshman to step in and rock right away, especially at quarterback. Yes, it was Towson, not Texas, but Hill looked poised and tough, completing 13-of-16 passes for 163 yards and two scores to go along with 41 rushing yards in the blowout win.
2. The Terp firepower was on display. Hill will get the headlines, but it was D.J. Moore who made things happen with both of the touchdown grabs with a team-high seven catches. Ty Johnson wasn’t bad, running five times for 124 yards and two scores.
3. The Terp D might have allowed a few too many third down conversions and struggled to get off the field, but there weren’t any turnovers, the five penalties weren’t bad, and the team came up with back-to-back 50-point games. Everything is working out just fine.
