Georgia Tech vs. UCF Game Reportedly To Be Cancelled
The showdown between the ACC and American Athletic Conference – a good-looking game between Georgia Tech, will be cancelled.
It’s being reported by WSB in Atlanta that this week’s Georgia Tech vs. UCF game won’t be played due to the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
This marks the second game in a row UCF will miss, with last week’s date against Memphis was cancelled, but that was an American Athletic Conference game – there’s talk of possibly making that up, but in all probability it won’t be logistically possible.
UCF’s next scheduled game is at Maryland on September 23rd.
For Georgia Tech, it starts ACC play against Pitt at home on the 23rd, and now it gets a week off after beating Jacksonville State 37-10 last week.
The Yellow Jackets are also getting moved around to help Miami and Florida State figure out their schedules after the two postponed this week’s matchup. Now, the Georgia Tech – Miami game will be played on October 14th.
