Florida Atlantic (1-2) vs. Buffalo (1-2) Game Preview
Broadcast, TV, Game Time
Date: Saturday, Sept. 23rd
Game Time: 7:00 pm ET
Venue: UB Stadium, Buffalo, NY
What’s Going To Happen
Buffalo hasn’t been bad. It battles with Minnesota and Army on the road, and blew away Colgate 33-10 last week. With Kent State up next, this could be a nice run with a win over FAU – win, and go into the Western Michigan and NIU games at home at 3-2.
After getting to spend time in Madison after the loss to Wisconsin, FAU got the first win in the Lane Kiffin era with a 45-0 blasting of Bethune-Cookman. With Middle Tennessee and a trip to Old Dominion up next, a win in Amherst is a must if there’s going to be any hope of a bowl game.
Buffalo is better than you think.
The defense isn’t taking the ball away, and it’s not getting into the backfield, but the secondary has been solid. FAU doesn’t go on enough decent marches to hold on to the ball and the clock, and that’s not happening this week.
UB will run well, the defense will hold firm time and again, and it’ll be a good win over a not-that-bad Owl squad. The Bulls will start to generate a MAC buzz with a fun game that’ll go down to the wire.
