Wagner transfer Corey Henson has committed to the Nevada Wolf Pack, according to multiple sources Monday evening.
Henson had previously announced he would return to Wagner after desiring a transfer in April. He will now head west and play for Eric Musselman and Nevada.
The Upper Marlboro, Maryland native has averaged 12.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals over his first 93 collegiate games. This past season, Henson was named an all-NEC honoree, with a slash line of 14.6/2.7/2.6 while hitting 65 three-point attempts.
Because Henson has not yet graduated, he will have to sit out the 2017-18 season. For 2018-19, the Wolf Pack also welcome upperclassmen transfers Tre’Shawn Thurman, Jazz Johnson, Marquez Letcher-Ellis, and Nisre Zouzoua.
According to Reno Gazette’s Chris Murray, Henson is the seventh transfer to commit to Nevada this offseason.
The Wolf Pack finished 28-7 last season in Eric Musselman’s second season with the team. Three of the team’s five double-digit scorers from 2017 have either graduated or entered the NBA.
