The Broncos may need a big year from the senior pass-catcher to get back on top.
At the moment, the Mountain West Conference may not be known for a wealth of quality tight ends, but it does have at least a couple of good ones, starting with the next entrant on our countdown.
Boise State senior Jake Roh, by the numbers, had his quietest year in 2016 by grabbing just ten passes for 113 yards, but he did catch a combined 68 passes in the two years prior and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him rebound following Thomas Sperbeck’s departure.
He also improved his catch rate from 71.7% to 76.9% in spite of the decreased raw numbers and ended the year on a high note — six catches in the Cactus Bowl against Baylor — which, combined with Thomas Sperbeck’s departure, could suggest big things ahead as Roh enters his senior year.
