Florida Four-Star Wide Receiver Commits to Georgia
The Georgia Bulldogs secured their 10th commitment of the 2018 recruiting cycle on Tuesday as four-star receiver Elijah Moore from Fort Lauderdale, Florida announced his college decision.
Moore, who has received nearly 35 offers, narowed his choices down to the Bulldogs and Ole Miss. As late as July 3, Moore had Miami, Ohio State and Ole Miss as his top three. The Bulldogs entered the sweepstakes late for the talented receiver and were able to close the deal.
The 5’11”, 175-pound speedster is the Dawgs first wideout commit for 2018. He’s in the ESPN 300 and ranked as the nation’s 24th best receiver and the 37th-ranked recruit in the state of talent-rich Florida. His route running is superb, has soft hands and is incredibly fast out of his cuts.
In July, Moore participated in Nike’s The Opening Finals. This January, he will play in the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game, one of the nation’s leading all star games for top prep recruits. He begins his senior season with 3-time state champion St. Thomas Aquinas on August 25, as the Raiders entertain the nation’s 3rd-ranked team, St. John Bosco (CA).
With Moore’s commitment, Georgia vaults to the top 40 in the 2018 recruiting race. Two of Georgia’s top targets, four-stars Azeez Ojulari and Kearis Jackson, are set to announce their commitments this week. The Dawgs would surge into the top 25 if both athletes commit to Georgia.
