2017 Miami University RedHawks Best Case Scenario
The RedHawks start out rolling with a solid road win over Marshall, and follow it up with a win over Austin Peay before coming up with a rivalry win over Cincinnati. They lose to Notre Dame on the road, but everything starts to kick in with a win over Bowling Green, Kent State and Buffalo to stay hot in the East race.
After pulling off the win at Ohio, they have the division title in sights, and close strong with wins over Akron, Eastern Michigan and Ball State for a terrific 10-2 season. Sound crazy? Remember, MU plays nine teams that didn’t go bowling last year.
2017 Miami University RedHawks Worst Case Scenario
Marshall is Marshall again, and Cincinnati gets by the RedHawks a few weeks later. After road losses at Central Michigan and Notre Dame, MU is 1-4 before dealing with Bowling Green. There are enough second half wins to keep the season from being a total disaster, but a regular season-ending loss at Ball State ends any bowl hopes.
