2017 Ohio State Buckeyes Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario
It’s Ohio State, it’s 12-0 or bust. Getting by Oklahoma isn’t a problem for an easy 6-0 start without any effort – outside of the showdown against the Sooners. They need a break, but they win at Nebraska anyway before getting a week off to prepare for Penn State and a trip to Iowa. There aren’t any issues against Michigan State and Illinois for an 11-0 run and a No. 1 College Football Playoff ranking before beating Michigan. Again.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario
Baker Mayfield is too good and the Sooners get revenge for last year’s loss. Even if OSU struggles, it’s not going to be any worse than 5-1 to start, but in a worst-case world, it loses at Nebraska and later at Iowa. It only splits the home dates against Penn State and Michigan State and, worst of all, finally loses to the Wolverines. Realistically, though, if everything goes wrong, it’s an 8-4 year.
