2018 Oregon State Beavers Football Schedule Analysis

– Welcome to the Oregon State head coaching job, Jonathan Smith. Now enjoy the opener at Ohio State. Southern Utah and a road game at Nevada should ease up the start to the season a little bit, but the team has to quickly get past whatever will happen against the Buckeyes.

– The Pac-12 season starts out with two dates against the South – both against fellow new guys. Kevin Sumlin and Arizona come to Corvallis, and then Smith takes his Beavers to Tempe to deal with Herm Edwards and Arizona State. USC is a home game, and there’s a trip to Colorado to round out the interdivisional matchups. OSU misses UCLA and Utah.

– There’s a rough late run of three road games in four weeks before closing out with the Civil War against Oregon. Going to Stanford and Washington won’t be fun, but Washington State is a home date. How’s this for a November? USC, the Cardinal, the Huskies, and then the Ducks.

Good luck, Mr. Smith.
