Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Nebraska Cornhuskers football schedule.
2018 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Schedule Analysis
– It’s not a bad start for Scott Frost. If all goes well, his Huskers are 3-0 going into the start of the Big Ten season with three straight home games against interesting non-conference teams. Akron got to the MAC title game last year, Troy won a piece of the Sun Belt, and Colorado isn’t a bad early test to see where the program is at. And then …
– Welcome to the Big Ten, Frost. The Huskers not only have to deal with Michigan from the East, but they have to do it on the road. If that wasn’t enough, after a week off late in October, Nebraska has to deal with a trip to Ohio State, too. And if THAT wasn’t enough, the Huskers have to play Michigan State. At least they miss Penn State.
But if the that really wasn’t enough.
– They have to deal with a rough midseason stretch of three road games in four dates, ending with the Buckeyes, and starting at Wisconsin. Oh yeah, and they have to go to Iowa. And Northwestern. There are enough winnable home games to go bowling without a problem, but at least in conference play, this is the West’s most brutal slate.
