Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Michigan Wolverines football schedule.
2018 Michigan Wolverines Football Schedule Analysis
– That’s right, jump into the water head first. After a horrible end to the season, Michigan is starting out hot right away with a showdown at Notre Dame. Follow that up with an okay Western Michigan team and an SMU squad with a dangerous offense, and … it’s not that bad a non-conference slate to kick things off. If there’s a win over the Irish to start, of course.
– The dates with the West are done with early on, starting out the Big Ten slate hosting Nebraska, following it up with a date at Northwestern, and a few weeks later, hosting Wisconsin. That’s not the break the program needs. There’s no Iowa to face, but it’s not like Illinois and Minnesota are on the schedule.
– The recovering time has to be quick after dealing with the Badgers – Michigan State is up next in East Lansing. There’s a week off after that, but then it’s right back into the fun with Penn State coming to Ann Arbor.
There’s time to take a wee bit of a breath with a trip to Rutgers and home date at Indiana to follow, and then … Ohio State. In Columbus. Ouch.
