Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Indiana Hoosiers football schedule.
2018 Indiana Hoosiers Football Schedule Analysis
– The Hoosiers get to go to Miami to kick everything off against FIU, but Virginia is the better early non-conference test. Throw in the relatively local flavor of the Ball State game, and it’s not a bad first three games to start the season – IU has to be 3-0 before starting out Big Ten play against Michigan State. At the very least, it’s a better way to start than dealing with Ohio State last season.
– It’s always going to stink being in the West with most of the Big Ten big boys, but at least the Spartans and Penn State have to come to Bloomington. However, Ohio State and Michigan are on the road.
There isn’t a bad run of road games, though, with four of the next six games at home after starting out at FIU. There’s another good run from October 13th to November 10th with just one game away from home.
– The dates with the East start out with Iowa at home, and then going to Minnesota two weeks later. That’s not awful, and of course, there’s the annual date vs. Purdue – it’s in Bloomington this year. There’s no Wisconsin or Nebraska to deal with.
