2017 Oklahoma State Cowboys Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario

The Cowboys are able to take care of Pitt on the road after pulling off the home win over the Panthers last year, and it doesn’t whiff on the dangerous early road game at South Alabama or the possible firefight against Tulsa. With home games against TCU and Baylor – and a week off to prepare for the Bears – 6-0 is possible before going to Texas. Win two of the three games in the road of three road games in four weeks, and take care of Oklahoma to start November, and the possibility to go to the Big 12 Championship will be right there for the taking. 10-2 is possible, 11-1 isn’t crazy.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario

The Cowboys gack against a dangerous Tulsa team to start the season, and they lose to Pitt on the road for a rough start. With a rough run of four road games in six dates, they can’t get by Texas Tech early, and then need to win at Texas and West Virginia to keep title hopes alive – good luck. They lose the Bedlam game to Oklahoma and are out of the championship run and have to fight for bowl eligibility in the final weeks. Even if there are a slew of problems, the Cowboys should be good enough to be no worse than 6-6.
