2017 North Texas Mean Green Football Schedule Realistic Best Case Scenario

The Mean Green roll past Lamar before stunning SMU on the road. They lose at Iowa and get by UAB for a 3-1 start and hope for a bowl game if they can hold serve against the average-to-mediocre teams the rest of the way. They beat UTSA at home, split against Florida Atlantic and Old Dominion, and get by UTEP, Army and Rice for a strong eight win season on the way to a bowl game.

2017 North Texas Mean Green Football Schedule Realistic Worst Case Scenario

They lose at SMU – and badly – and get rolled by Southern Miss in a 2-3 start. UTSA runs wild in a win in Denton, and Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic team shows up as UNT keeps sliding. Old Dominion and Louisiana Tech win without a problem, and the Mean Green has to fight through a 2-7 start. There’s no APR to bail the team out in the bowl world this time around with losses vs. Army and Rice to close out a rough campaign – and a big regression.
