2017 Kansas State Wildcats Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario

The Wildcats don’t have to start out against Stanford on the road like they did last year, but they’ll have to deal with Vanderbilt on the road after two warm-up date. Win that, and then enjoy a week off to prepare for Baylor. With the Bears, TCU and Oklahoma having to come to Manhattan, in a perfect world, win two of those three, and beat Texas in Austin, and this should be the Big 12’s hot team going into a relatively easy finishing kick. If everything goes perfectly, K-State is no worse than 6-1 before going to Kansas. Everything should come down to the road games at Texas Tech and Oklahoma State and the home game against West Virginia. 10-2 with a trip to the Big 12 title game are both possible.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario

Kansas State loses at Vanderbilt and can’t get by Baylor at home. If that happens, it’ll be a rough go with road games at Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State to go along with dangerous home dates with Oklahoma and West Virginia. The Vandy loss wouldn’t be a killer – at least to Big 12 title hopes, obviously – but in a worst case scenario, an 0-2 start would all but end the hope of getting to the Big 12 Championship. This should be a solid enough team to get to six wins even if everything goes wrong, but if the O doesn’t work, 5-7 wouldn’t be a shocker.
