2017 Purdue Boilermakers Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario

The Jeff Brohm offense works right away with wins over Ohio and, after a week off, Minnesota. They pull off a shocker against Louisville, at Missouri or Michigan – winning one of the three – and roll by Rutgers a few weeks later. Nebraska and Illinois can’t keep up in West Lafayette, and they split the road games at Northwestern and Iowa before taking the bucket against Indiana to finish with an explosive 8-4. Brohm might just be that good.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario

The Louisville, Missouri and Michigan games are a disaster, Ohio runs wild, and Minnesota and Wisconsin roll at will in an ugly 0-6 start. Realistically, though, they’ll win at least once early on starting 1-5 if everything goes wrong. They sputter and struggle in the second half of the year losing to Nebraska, Northwestern and Iowa, but even if the wheels totally fall off, they’re not going to be worse than 3-9.
