2017 Indiana Hoosiers Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario

The Hoosiers come out roaring on a Thursday night and stun Ohio State to shake up the Big Ten before it gets started. There aren’t any issues with a nice ACC road win over Virginia before beating FIU and Georgia Southern. The Hoosiers split the games with Penn State and Michigan, and survive the run of three road games in four weeks with wins over Maryland and Illinois while splitting the Michigan State and Wisconsin showdowns. If any and/or all of that happens, there shouldn’t be any problems with Illinois, Rutgers and Purdue. Fine, that’s all a stretch. Against this nasty schedule, 7-5 is still possible.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario

The Hoosiers get housed by Ohio State and lose at Virginia the week after. The Big Ten slate is a big problem early on with losses at Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State, and in a crusher, a loss at Maryland before facing Wisconsin. With four of the last six games on the road, they struggle all the way, closing out with problems against Illinois and Purdue. 4-8 is more than possible even if the regime change goes well – the schedule is just that hard.
