Woodstock is 6-3 overall, 3-1 in the Region and unranked while Walton is 9-0, 4-0 and No. 4 in the state. A region title would be the Wolverines’ first. Walton last won in 2011, when the Raiders reached the state finals.

Walton averages 40.8 points per game, third-best in Class 7A. Quarterback Austin Kirksey is 98-of-166 passing for 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns. D.J. Soyoye has rushed for 935 yards.

The key to the offense is five-star wide receiver Dominick Blaylock, who is committed to Georgia. The 6’0″, 180 pound junior has 33 catches for 552 yards and six touchdowns and requires constant double teaming. He has carried the ball 12 times for 114 yards and is also 2-2 passing for 68 yards. Blaylock is rated the No. 2 player in the state and No. 3 receiver in the country.

Woodstock is led by quarterback Garrett Bass who is 161-of-277 passing for 2,313 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Wolverines are averaging 32 points per game. Bass had more than 300 yards of total offense against Walton last year. Leading the receiving corps is Noah Frith with 53 receptions for 863 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Should be an entertaining game with a lot on the line. Will be a beautiful night for football in Marietta. The game begins at 7:30 p.m., so get there early and catch some exciting Georgia prep football.
