What’s Going To Happen
Yeah, Toledo got destroyed by Ohio on Wednesday night, but it doesn’t matter. It can still pull off the MAC West title and get its revenge on the Bobcats if it beats Bowling Green and Western Michigan, or if Northern Illinois slips.
The Huskies fell to Toledo last week in a 27-17 battle, but now they have to win out and hope for a little luck.
Ball State probably won’t be able to do much to stand in the way.
It’s been a rough run for the Cardinals with a six-game losing streak with absolutely no fun whatsoever.
How bad have things been for the banged up and punchless BSU team? It hasn’t scored more than 17 points in any of the five MAC games, losing them all by a combined total of 256 to 46.
The MAC’s elite are taking turns defense-shaming a Cardinal team that can’t stop anyone. Get ready to roll, Huskies.
What does a Ball State team that can’t move the ball and can’t score need? A date with the MAC’s best defense.
The NIU offense is fine, but it’s the D that’s getting it done, particularly against the run.
Considering Ball State has the worst downfield passing game in college football – averaging a horrendous 9.5 yards per throw – it’s going to be a rough ride trying to score.
NIU won’t put a stupid number up on the board, but it’ll win easily after two first quarter touchdowns set the early tone.
