Georgia Football Practice Notes
Under sunny skies and low 70° temperatures, Georgia took to the practice field for the first time as the number one ranked team in the College Football Playoff Poll.
The Dawgs held a spirited practice under ideal conditions. As the team prepared for South Carolina (6-2, SEC 4-2), it was business as usual.
During the media viewing period, the quarterbacks were sharp and the passing drill was highlighted by a sensational by Jayson Stanley.
The first team offensive line, which has been playing so well, remained the same….Wynn, Baker, Gaillard, Kindley and Thomas (just a side note- Wynn is the only senior of the group and Kindley and Thomas are freshmen).
Suspended linebacker Natrez Patrick continued to practice and has been a spirited leader. He’ll be a force when he returns for the Kentucky game.
All is good on the injury front. Defensive tackle Trent Thompson, who missed two games prior to the Florida victory, is healthy. Linebacker Reggie Carter, who also missed two games prior to Florida, made his lone start against the Gators and had four tackles, including one for lost yardage, and a pass breakup, was in good shape too.
The Dawgs practice tomorrow and host the Gamecocks on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
