What’s Going To Happen

FIU is still in the mix, and Western Kentucky isn’t technically out of it, but this might be for the Conference USA East title – especially if FAU wins.

Lane Kiffin’s club would have to win just two of its final three games to take the division, as long as one of those came against FIU to lock it up.

Marshall needs this, it has to win out, and it needs some help after losing at home to FIU. After giving up just 37 points in the previous five games, it got hit for 41 by the Golden Panthers.

And now comes the Owl machine.

Great all year against the run, now Marshall has to deal with Devin Singletary, the magnificent FAU back who’ll likely earn Conference USA Player of the Year honors.

Coming off a 244-yard, four score day against WKU, he’s the key to the offense, but he’ll have to keep the offense cranking with Marshall and Chase Litton keeping up the pace.

The Owls will roll on the ground, the Litton will throw for 250, but at home, Kiffin will get his team bowl eligible with his O taking advantage of its chances to score. Marshall will stall just enough to let FAU survive a fun battle.
