Big 12

Big 12 Rankings & Scores After Week 10

Everyone but Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor and Kansas for the two spots in the Big 12 Championship. But only Oklahoma, TCU and Iowa State are in control of their own destinies.

Oklahoma (5-1): TCU, at Kansas, West Virginia. Win two of the last three, get in. Beat TCU, and it’s in with one more Horned Frog loss or an Oklahoma State loss.

TCU (5-1): at Oklahoma, at Texas Tech, Baylor. Win two of the last three, get in. Beat Oklahoma, and it’s in with one more Sooner loss.

Oklahoma State (4-2): at Iowa State, Kansas State, Kansas. Realistically, OSU has to win out and hope for the Oklahoma/TCU loser to lose once more.

West Virginia (4-2): at Kansas State, Texas, at Oklahoma. Win the next two games, hope for an Oklahoma State loss and/or a TCU collapse. Realistically, win out, and get a Cowboy loss.

Iowa State (4-2): Oklahoma State, at Baylor, at Kansas State. Win out, get in.

Kansas State (3-3): West Virginia, at Oklahoma State, Iowa State. Win out, and the TCU/Oklahoma loser has to lose out.

Who’s Going To WIN?

The TCU vs. Oklahoma game this weekend will be the first of two showdowns. TCU will win this round, Oklahoma will take the other. Or, the other way around.

Big Ten

Big Ten Rankings & Scores After Week 10

Who’s Still Alive?

In the East, the Michigan State-Ohio State winner this weekend has the inside track.

Michigan State (5-1): at Ohio State, Maryland, at Rutgers. Win out, get in. Lose to Ohio State, and there’s still a shot by winning the final two games and needing the Michigan/Ohio State winner to have one other loss. It’s still possible to lose one of the last two games and get in with a win over Ohio State, but Penn State and Michigan would each have to lose once more.

Ohio State (5-1): Michigan State, Illinois, at Michigan. Win out, get in. Lose to MSU, win out, and hope for one more Penn State and MSU loss. Beat MSU, and OSU can still get in with one more loss if Penn State and Michigan each lose once more.

Penn State (4-2): Rutgers, Nebraska, at Maryland. Win out, and the Ohio State/Michigan State winner has to lose once more. Lose once, and realistically, that’s it.

Michigan (4-2): at Maryland, at Wisconsin, Ohio State. Win out, and Penn State and Michigan State each need to lose once more.

In the West, Wisconsin has to totally collapse, but …

Wisconsin (6-0): Iowa, Michigan, at Minnesota. Win once, get in. Or, Northwestern has to lose once and Iowa has to lose once more if the Hawkeyes win in Madison.

Northwestern (4-2): Purdue, Minnesota, at Illinois. Win out, Wisconsin has to lose out.

Iowa (3-3): at Wisconsin, Purdue, at Nebraska. Win out, Wisconsin has to lose out.

Nebraska (3-3): at Minnesota, at Penn State, Iowa. Win out, Wisconsin has to lose out and Northwestern has to lose twice more.

Who’s Going To Win?

Ohio State will beat Wisconsin for the Big Ten title.

Conference USA

Who’s Still Alive?

Florida Atlantic has a one game lead over FIU in the East.

Florida Atlantic (5-0): at Louisiana Tech, FIU, at Charlotte. Win out, get in. Win two with one coming against FIU, get in. Win once and get one FIU loss, get in.

FIU (4-1): Old Dominion, at Florida Atlantic, WKU. Win out, get in. Lose to FAU, and the Owls have to lose their other two and FIU has to win its other two.

Marshall (3-2): WKU, at UTSA, Southern Miss. Win out, FAU has to lose out and FIU has to beat FAU and lose once more.

WKU (3-2): at Marshall, Middle Tennessee, at FIU. Win out, FAU has to lose out.

In the West, North Texas has a one game lead over UAB and appears to be a mortal lock, but …

North Texas (5-1): UTEP, at Rice. Win one of the last two, get in.

UAB (4-2): at UTSA, UTEP. Win out, North Texas has to lose out.

Southern Miss (3-2): at Rice, Charlotte, at Marshall. Win out, North Texas has to lose out.

Who’s Going To Win?

In one year, Lane Kiffin will take Florida Atlantic to a Conference USA title with a win over North Texas.

MAC

Who’s Still Alive?

In the East, it’s a battle between Ohio and Akron.

Akron (4-2): Ohio, Kent State. Win out, get in. Beat Ohio, and win one other game – or if Ohio loses to Buffalo – get in.

Ohio (5-1): at Akron, at Buffalo. Win out, get in. Beat Akron, get in. Lose to Akron, and then hope the Zips lose to Kent State.

Toledo has a lead in the West, but four teams are still alive.

Toledo (5-1): at Bowling Green, Western Michigan. Win two more, get in. Win once, get one more Northern Illinois loss, get in.

Northern Illinois (4-1): Ball State, Western Michigan, at Central Michigan: Win out, get two Toledo losses, get in. Lose once, Toledo has to lose out, and the team NIU loses to has to lose once more.

Central Michigan (4-2): at Kent State, Northern Illinois. Win out, Toledo has to lose out.

Western Michigan (3-2): Kent State, at Northern Illinois, at Toledo. Win out, get one more Toledo loss, and it would help if Central Michigan lost once more.

Who’s Going To Win?

Toledo will beat Ohio to finally win a MAC Championship game.

Mountain West

Who’s Still Alive?

It’ll take a total and complete collapse for Boise State or Wyoming not to take the Mountain, but …

Boise State (5-0): at Colorado State, Air Force, at Fresno State. Win out, get in. Win two, get one Wyoming loss, get in. Lose twice, get one Wyoming loss, and one more Air Force loss, get in.

Fresno State will lose to Wyoming and Boise State, San Diego State will win out, and it’ll take down Boise State for a second time this year for a third straight Mountain West title.

Pac-12

Pac-12 Rankings & Scores After Week 10

Who’s Still Alive?

The North looks like it should come down to the Apple Cup, but …

Washington (5-1): at Stanford, Utah, Washington State. Win out, get in. Lose to Stanford, win the last two, get one more Stanford loss. Beat Stanford and Utah, in with one more Washington State loss.

Washington State (5-2): at Utah, at Washington. Win out, get in. Lose to Washington and the Huskies had to have lost their other two games. Stanford and Washington have to each lose once more if the Cougars lose to Utah.

Stanford (5-2): Washington, California. Win out, Washington has to lose to one other game, Washington State has to lose to Utah.

USC took a stranglehold on the South, but …

USC (6-1): at Colorado, UCLA. Win out, get in. Win one of the last two, get one more loss from Arizona and Arizona State.

Arizona (4-2): Oregon State, at Oregon, at Arizona State. Win out, USC has to lose last two.

Who’s Going To Win?

It’s the Pac-12 Championship we all wanted last year. Washington will take down USC in a thriller.

SEC

SEC Rankings & Scores After Week 10

Who’s Still Alive?

Georgia has won the East. The West is a wee bit more complicated, even with Alabama seemingly in control.

Alabama (6-0): at Mississippi State, at Auburn. Win out, get in. Win one of the last two, and the team Bama loses two has to lose once more.

Auburn (5-1): Georgia, Alabama. Win out, get in. Or, lose to Georgia, get an Alabama loss to Mississippi State, beat Bama, LSU has to lose once more.

Mississippi State (3-2): Alabama, at Arkansas, at Ole Miss. Win out, hope for one Auburn loss, get in.

Who’s Going To Win?

Auburn might make things interesting, but it’ll be Alabama vs. Georgia in the SEC Championship. The Tide don’t lose SEC championship games at this point.

Sun Belt

Who’s Still Alive

Here’s the problem. Not everyone plays each other, so it’s possible for a split champion.

Arkansas State (4-0): at South Alabama, Texas State, ULM, Troy. Win out, take the title. Lose once, be assured of at least a part of the title.

Troy (4-1): at Coastal Carolina, Texas State, at Arkansas State. Win out, take the title outright even there’s a tie in the loss column. Lose once to anyone but Arkansas State, and hope for two ASU losses.

Georgia State (4-1): at Texas State, Appalachian State, Idaho. Win out, get one Troy loss and one Arkansas State loss, and share the title. Win out with a Troy loss and two Arkansas State losses, and take the title outright.

Appalachian State (4-1): Georgia Southern, at Georgia State, Louisiana. Win out, get one Arkansas State loss, split the title. Win out, get two Arkansas State losses, win the title outright. Lose twice, and Arkansas State has to lose three times and Georgia State and Troy each need to have two more losses.

Louisiana (3-2): New Mexico State, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State. Win out, Arkansas State has to lose at least twice, and Georgia State and Troy each have to lose once more to take a piece of the title.

Who’s Going To Win?

Even with all of the traffic, Arkansas State will take it outright.
