What’s Going To Happen
There’s the Western Kentucky team we all know and love.
After struggling for most of the year to get the offense going, WKU ripped up a pitiful Charlotte team 45-14 to keep Conference USA hopes alive.
And now, as crazy as it sounds, it’s about getting through this, and getting to Florida Atlantic next week for a bigger showdown.
Mike White and the passing game rocked – he threw for close to 400 yards with five scores, and the team came up with 506 yards and five scores – but the defense had a few issues, especially against the Charlotte ground game.
Old Dominion has been a big disappointment, losing four straight games and all but bowing out of the Conference USA chase before it could get started. But beat the Hilltoppers at home, and beat North Texas next week, and everything changes.
But the Monarch, passing game is non-existent, the turnovers keep coming, and the team can’t seem to come up with the right play at the right time.
WKU doesn’t have to explode, but it just can’t mess up on the road. The Hilltoppers will be +2 in turnover margin, and will hold the Monarchs to under 250 yards of total offense.
