What’s Going To Happen
All of a sudden, the Conference USA race appears to be wide open. North Texas has gotten hot with two straight wins for a 2-0 Conference USA start. The offense has been impressive, overcoming a mediocre defense that’s a problem.
But with a road game at Florida Atlantic up next, and a date at Louisiana Tech to get through, winning the division – and the conference title – will be a fight if the Mean Green blow this at home.
North Texas beat Southern Miss, and UTSA just lost to the Golden Eagles at home. With Rice and UTEP up next, win this, and the Roadrunners will end up building up the league wins.
With an efficient passing game and a solid ground game, UTSA is doing a little of everything right, but North Texas is finding ways to score.
The Mean Green offense moves, averaging over 500 yards per game, and, now it’s about to get into a firefight.
Both passing games will look solid, but the Mean Green will be just good enough in key spots against the Roadrunner ground game to stall drives.
It’ll be one of the most entertaining close games of the weekend. The emotion and intensity will be there for a rival that’ll start growing.
