What’s Going To Happen

Kent State continues to have a rough time.

The offense still isn’t working – scoring 19 points in four FBS games – and now the schedule started to get a little tougher.

Northern Illinois is feeling it.

It might have lost to San Diego State, but it played well against a strong team in a 34-28 loss. And now it’s time to go eat.

With Kent State, Buffalo, Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan up next, there’s a great shot at being 4-0 in the MAC before going to Toledo. But first, as long as the Huskies can get a few early scores, that should be it.

The NIU offense isn’t special, but the defense has been solid at getting into the backfield and has been terrific against the run.

Kent State has no pass rush, is dead last in college football in scoring, and it doesn’t keep the chains moving, but it’s okay at taking the ball away. It needs to dominate the turnover margin to keep this close, but NIU won’t screw up enough.
