Alright, Missouri. Enough is enough.

It’s been a miserable season with five straight losses after a puzzling shootout win over Missouri State, but now it’s time to start turning things around.

With this week against Idaho, and next week against UConn. the Tigers should and could get to 3-5 with a November that suddenly doesn’t look all that bad.

With the offense kicking it in over the last two weeks against Kentucky and Georgia, there’s hope from the losses. And now, if the Tigers can get through the next few weeks, can they win two of four against Florida, Tennessee, at Vanderbilt and at Arkansas to go bowling?

Just beat Idaho first.

The Vandals have just one FBS win – at South Alabama – but they’re playing surprisingly well on defense and might not be the layup Tiger fans need.

One Reason Why Idaho Will Win

The secondary has been shockingly amazing.

The Vandals haven’t faced a whole slew of top passing games, but the pass rush has been fantastic and the stops are coming. Don’t blow this off – Idaho has consistently fields some of the worst defenses in college football for a long, long time.

Amazing on third downs, the Idaho D should come up with its share of wins to get Drew Lock and company off the field.

One Reason Why Missouri Will Win

Even more stunning than Idaho’s defensive rise has been the offensive fall. Almost mirroring Missouri last season, the D was miserable, but the O made up for it. This year, the O isn’t showing up.

The Vandals can’t move the chains a lick, they offensive line has been a disaster, and the points aren’t coming – Idaho has yet to score more than 29 points, and it has yet to play a Power Five team.

The Tiger offense, meanwhile, has started to crank it up – finally.

It was a loss to Kentucky, but Drew Lock threw for 355 yards and three scores, and the running game worked, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. The ground attack might have been stuffed by Georgia, but at least Lock was okay, throwing for four scores.

What’s Going To Happen

Missouri will stall a bit too much early on, and then the production will kick in with two good scoring drives to start pulling away. Idaho will have a few nice moments, but drives will stall on sacks. The Tigers will generate four sacks and ten tackles for loss.
