The Mountaineers can breath a sigh of relief now that 4-star recruit Kwantel Raines officially committed to WVU. It came down to WVU, Penn State, The University of Pittsburgh and Florida for the Aliquippa native. Raines is the No. 2 ranked prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania. Raines measures in at 6’3” and weighs around 200 pounds.
Raines attends Aliquippa High School and plays both safety and wide receiver. He is expected to play safety once he arrives in Morgantown. This is a huge commitment for the Mountaineers as they can potentially have to fill at least one of the safety positions next season as Kyzir White will be graduating.
At AHS this season Raines has made a huge impact this season, leading the team to a 7-0 record.
