Georgia Running Back Nick Chubb Moves Up In The Record Books
Senior running back Nick Chubb continued his assault on the Bulldogs and SEC record books after a brilliant game in Georgia’s 45-14 win over Vanderbilt Saturday.
The Cedartown, Georgia native joined Herschel Walker as Georgia’s only 4,000 yards career rushers and only the eighth running back in SEC history to surpass that mark.
Chubb opened Georgia’s scoring with a 33-yard touchdown run. He finished the game with 138 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns. It was his 21st career 100-yard rushing game and moved his career total to 4,042 yards, seventh best in SEC history.
Chubb is 448 yards from the number two all-time career rushing position. Herschel Walker is the all-time SEC rushing leader, with 5,259.
Chubb and the No. 5 Bulldogs face Missouri in Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
