Georgia Receiver Terry Godwin Expected Back In Action Soon
Georgia junior Terry Godwin, the Dawg’s leading receiver, looks like he will be ready for Florida in two weeks.
Godwin left the Missouri game in the first half after taking a hit to his ribs. He had four receptions for 42 yards up to that point. He returned to the sideline in the second half. After the game, Kirby Smarts told reporters that Godwin had x-rays taken and should be fine.
For the season, Godwin has 16 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns. After his five catches for 95 yards on Saturday, senior Javon Wims has 17 catches for 312 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Mecole Hardman follows with 9 receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
No. 3 Georgia enters its bye week atop the SEC East with an overall record of 7-0. The Bulldogs take on the Florida Gators (3-3, 3-2) in the 96th edition of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party on Saturday, October 28, at 3:30 p.m.
