Head coach Marvin Menzies and his staff continue hot stretch on the recruiting trails

Class of 2018 shooting guard Bryce Hamilton verbally committed to UNLV Monday evening, per his Twitter page.

Hamilton is a four-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports. He’s ranked as the #53 shooting guard and #26 Californian in the class of 2018 in ESPN’s database. Hamilton also carried offers from Arizona State, Ohio State, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Boise State, and others.

Last season for Pasadena High School, Hamilton scored 23.4 points per game to go along with 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.3 blocks per night.

Scouting reports of Hamilton call for his shooting ability, particularly from three-point range. He’s a left-hander who will see immediate playing time as the two-guard for the Rebels next season.

Hamilton is Menzies’ second commit from the class of 2018. Trey Woodbury, also a four-star shooting guard, committed to the program back in July.
