LAST WEEK 124. at UMass 55, Georgia Southern 20. Eagle running game held to just 136 yards averaging 3.3 yards per carry. GSU turned it over four times and committed 11 penalties for 114 yards.

129 UTEP (0-7)

LAST WEEK 129. Didn’t Play This Week. Up Next: UTSA

128 Rice (1-6)

LAST WEEK 128. at UTSA 20, Rice 7. The Owls turned it over three times and converted just two third down tries. Sam Glaesmann led the team with 69 rushing yards, and completed 3-of-9 passes for 84 yards and a score with a pick.

127 Charlotte (1-7)

LAST WEEK 130. at Charlotte 25, UAB 24. They did it! The 49ers got their first win of the season after connecting on a two-point conversion attempt in overtime on a flea-flicker to QB Hasaan Klugh. He completed 14-of-28 passes for 154 yards with a touchdown, two picks, ran for 140 yards and two touchdowns with the two-point conversion.

126 Massachusetts (1-6)

LAST WEEK 127. at UMass 55, Georgia Southern 20. FINALLY … UMass didn’t let this be an issue with 28 first quarter points. Ross Comis and Andrew Ford combined to hit 21-of-28 passes for 350 yards and four TDs. Bilal Ally ran 16 times for 116 yards and three scores.

125 Coastal Carolina (1-6)

LAST WEEK 126. at Appalachian State 37, Coastal Carolina 29. The Chanticleers played well on the road, Tyler Keane completed 17-of-29 passes for 332 yards and two scores. Ky’Jon Tyler caught five passes for 141 yards and a score.

123 BYU (1-7)

LAST WEEK 100. at East Carolina 33, BYU 17. Welcome to rock bottom and no bowl. The Cougars got 319 yards and two touchdowns with a pick from Tanner Mangum, but the running game finished with just 102 yards.

122 Miami Univ. (3-5)

LAST WEEK 115. at Miami University 24, Buffalo 14. There’s the sign of life the team needed. There wasn’t much offense – a balance of 177 passing and 172 rushing – but Kenny Young ran for 125 yards and two scores.

121 Bowling Green (1-7)

LAST WEEK 122. Northern Illinois 48, at Bowling Green 17. The Falcons turned it over five times and came up with just one takeaway. Grant Loy threw for 104 yards and a pick, and ran for a touchdown.

120 Kent State (2-6)

LAST WEEK 129. at Ohio 48, Kent State 3. The Golden Flashes came up with a first quarter field goal, and that was it. The offense finished with just 166 total yards.

119 Georgia State (3-4)

LAST WEEK: 121. Troy 34, at Georgia State 10. Conner Manning threw for 255 yards and a touchdown with an interception, but the running game was held to 52 yards with no big dashes.

118 Idaho (2-5)

LAST WEEK 120. at Missouri 68, Idaho 21. The Vandals were crushed right out of the gate, allowing 34 first quarter points and 51 at the half. Idaho was outgained 658 yards to 278.

117 Ball State (2-5)

LAST WEEK 113. Central Michigan 56, at Ball State 9. The O line had a nightmare of a time, allowing eight sacks and running for 81 yards. Jack Milas threw for 118 yards.

116 Louisiana (3-4)

LAST WEEK 118. at Arkansas State 47, Louisiana 3. The Ragin’ Cajuns were sacked five times and were outgained 571 yards to 270. They were never in it.

115 Old Dominion (2-5)

LAST WEEK 117. WKU 35, at Old Dominion 31. The Monarchs got 166 yards and three scores from Ray Lawry, but QB Steven Williams threw three picks.

114 ULM (3-4)

LAST WEEK 116. at South Alabama 33, ULM 23. ULM ran for 307 yards and three scores, but the D couldn’t come up with a key stop. Caleb Evans completed 14-of-23 passes for 179 yards and a pick, and ran for 90 yards and two scores.

113 South Alabama (3-4)

LAST WEEK: 120. at South Alabama 33, ULM 23. The USA offense got 317 passing yards and three scores from Dallas Davis, and ran for 232 yards and a score. Sam Harris caught eight passes for 141 yards and a score.

LAST WEEK 112. at East Carolina 33, BYU 17. The Pirate defense held BYU to 102 yards on the ground. Thomas Sirk and Gardner Minshew combined to throw for 298 yards and two scores.

LAST WEEK 92. at Army 31, Temple 28 OT. Frank Nutile completed 20-of-29 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown, and Ryquell Armstead ran for 151 yards and two scores, but Temple lost on a missed 27-yard field goal.

LAST WEEK 108. Utah State 52, at UNLV 28. The Rebel passing game couldn’t get anything going down the field. Lexington Thomas ran for 161 yards and two scores, the team ran for 375 yards and four scores.

LAST WEEK 110. at UConn 20, Tulsa 14. The massively disappointing season continues. All 14 Tulsa points game in the fourth. Shamari Brooks ran 31 times for 164 yards and two scores.

104 Connecticut (3-4)

LAST WEEK 106. at UConn 20, Tulsa 14. The Huskies came through when it had to on D, but committed 11 penalties. Bryant Shirreffs completed 23-of-29 passes for 372 yards and a score.

103 Western Kentucky (5-2)

LAST WEEK 105. WKU 35, at Old Dominion 31. The Hilltoppers rallied to win, getting 304 yards and five touchdowns to five different receivers out of a hot Mike White.

102 Kansas (1-6)

LAST WEEK 104. at TCU 43, Kansas 0. 21 yards. That’s how many Kansas finished with, rushing for -25. yards. The Jayhawks came up with just four first downs.

LAST WEEK 102. Southern Miss 34, at Louisiana Tech 27 2OT. Devastating, the Bulldogs had everything go wrong in the collapse to lose this, including failing to score in OT. Boston Scott ran for 106 yards and a touchdown, but QB J’Mar Smith was off.

99 UAB (4-3)

LAST WEEK 101. at Charlotte 25, UAB 24. The bowl dream took a huge hit as the O fell flat in the second half. A.J. Erdely completed 21-of-29 passes for 182 yards and a score, and ran for 41 yards and two touchdowns.

98 Middle Tennessee (3-5)

LAST WEEK 103. Marshall 38, at Middle Tennessee 10. The O stalled, gaining just 273 yards and not scoring the second half. The Blue Raiders ran for 53 yards. John Urzua was sacked six times.

97 Buffalo (3-5)

LAST WEEK 79. at Miami University 24, Buffalo 14. Totally disastrous, this might kill UB’s bowl hopes. Kyle Vantrease completed 17-of-41 passes for 202 yards and two scores with a pick.

96 New Mexico (3-4)

LAST WEEK 99. Colorado State 27, at New Mexico 24. New Mexico had a shot late after a recovered onside kick, but got sacked. Tyrone Owens ran for 159 of the team’s 318 yards.

95 Army (6-2)

LAST WEEK 77. at Army 31, Temple 28 OT. Army hit its OT field goal, Temple missed its try. Darnell Woolfolk ran for 132 yards and three scores. Army is bowl eligible.

LAST WEEK 97. USF 34, at Tulane 28. The option was okay, but the Green Wave came back with 221 passing yards and two scores form Jonathan Banks. Dontrell Hilliard ran for 94 yards and a touchdown.

93 Illinois (2-5)

LAST WEEK 96. at Minnesota 24, Illinois 17. Jeff George Jr. completed 18-of-23 passes for 128 yards and a score. The D line, though, only came up with three tackles for loss.

92 Air Force (3-4)

LAST WEEK 93. Air Force 45, at Nevada 42. It was too much of a fight against a bad team. Air Force ran for 550 yards and six scores, holding the ball for 41:20.

91 Baylor (0-7)

LAST WEEK 92. West Virginia 38, at Baylor 36. The Bears roared back with 23 fourth quarter points, but got sacked on a two-point conversion attempt. Zach Smith and Charlie Brewer combined for 370 passing yards and two scores.

LAST WEEK 91. at UTSA 20, Rice 7. It wasn’t pretty, but the O got the job done early. Tyrell Clay ran 11 times for 153 yards, and Dalton Sturm threw for 134 yards and a touchdown.

89 Southern Miss (4-2)

LAST WEEK 90. Southern Miss 34, at Louisiana Tech 27 OT. Stunning, USM scored, got the two, recovered the onside kick, and sent the game to OT on a field goal. Keon Howard threw for 301 yards and three scores with two picks, and ran for 63 yards.

88 North Texas (4-3)

LAST WEEK 89. at Florida Atlantic 69, North Texas 31. Bad day … move on. The D allowed more than 800 yards of total offense, and the O turned it over three times. Mason Fine threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns with two picks.

87 Central Michigan (4-4)

LAST WEEK 86. Central Michigan 56, at Ball State 9. The D dominated with eight sacks, keeping Ball State to just over 200 yards. Shane Morris threw four touchdown passes, Corey Willis caught three of them.

86 Cincinnati (2-6)

LAST WEEK 85. SMU 31, at Cincinnati 28 OT. Devastating, UC got a 4th-and-26 hit on them in OT, and lost on an interception. Hayden Moore ran for a score, and threw for 189 yards and two scores with a pick.

85 Utah State (4-4)

LAST WEEK: 84. Utah State 52, at UNLV 28. The Aggies exploded, averaging 11.1 yards per pass, UNLV averaged 2.8. Jordan Love threw for 316 yards and two scores, and LaJuan Hunt ran for 101 yards and three scores.

84 Arkansas State (4-2)

LAST WEEK 83. at Arkansas State 47, Louisiana 3. The Red Wolves are playing like the Sun Belt’s best team. Justice Hansen threw for 275 yards and a score, and ran for 121 yards and a touchdown.

LAST WEEK 76. Troy 34, at Georgia State 10. Brandon Silvers completed 25-of-35 passes for 335 yards and two scores with a pick. The Trojans only got hit for one penalty for five yards.

LAST WEEK 75. at Ohio 48, Kent State 3. The Bobcats ran for 336 yards and four scores. Nathan Rouke threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 59 yards and a score.

LAST WEEK 74. at Appalachian State 37, Coastal Carolina 29. It took way too much work to put away a bad team. Taylor Lamb threw for 427 yards and two scores, with Jalen Virgil catching five passes for 186 yards and two scores.

79 Wyoming (4-3)

LAST WEEK 73. at Boise State 24, Wyoming 14. The Cowboy defense was fun, but the O couldn’t move in the second half. Josh Allen completed 12-of-27 passes for 131 yards and a score with two picks, and ran 18 times for 62 yards and a touchdown.

78 Marshall (6-1)

LAST WEEK 72. Marshall 38, at Middle Tennessee 10. The Herd came up with six sacks – Channing Hames had two. Tyler King ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

77 Minnesota (4-3)

LAST WEEK 55. at Minnesota 24, Illinois 17. It was a rough run against a bad Illinois team, and Demry Croft completed just 5-of-15 passes for 47 yards with a score and two picks, but Kobe McCrary and Rodney Smith each ran for over 100 yards.

76 Purdue (3-4)

LAST WEEK: 51. at Rutgers 14, Purdue 12. Purdue D held Rutgers to 217 yards and eight first downs, but O couldn’t convert a late two point try. Elijah Sindelar threw for 138 yards and two picks. David Blough threw for 57 yards and a TD.

75 Rutgers (3-4)

LAST WEEK 94. at Rutgers 14, Purdue 12. Rutgers came up with just 217 yards and eight first downs, but held on a late Purdue conversion try. 74 of the 130 Scarlet Knight rushing yards came on one Gus Edwards run.

74 Eastern Michigan (2-5)

LAST WEEK 71. Western Michigan 20, at Eastern Michigan 17 OT. Yet ANOTHER close loss for EMU. WMU hit a field goal in overtime, ruining a late comeback. Brogan Roback threw for 398 yards and a score with a pick.

73 Western Michigan (5-3)

LAST WEEK 78. Western Michigan 20, at Eastern Michigan 17 OT. Josh Grant hit his overtime field goal to give the Broncos the win. The running game came up with 220 yards, the passing attack 202.

72 Akron (4-4)

LAST WEEK 77. at Toledo 48, Akron 21. Akron was down big early and never made it interesting. The Zips ran for 42 yards, but the two QBs combined for 291 yards and three scores with a pick.

71 Colorado State (6-2)

LAST WEEK 70. Colorado State 27, at New Mexico 24. The Rams survived after struggling to close, but survived on a sack. Nick Stevens threw for 231 yards and two scores, Izzy Matthews ran for 116 yards and a touchdown.

LAST WEEK 62. at UCLA 31, Oregon 14. The Ducks need better quarterback play. They were tied at 14 in the second half, but couldn’t score the rest of the way. Braxton Burmeister only threw for 74 yards, but ran for two scores. Royce Freeman ran for 160 yards.

60 Northern Illinois (4-2)

LAST WEEK 61. Northern Illinois 48, at Bowling Green 17. Marcus Childers threw for 239 yards and three scores, and ran for 73 more. The Huskies finished with 338 rushing yards, and the D came up with five takeaways.

59 SMU (5-2)

LAST WEEK 60. SMU 31, at Cincinnati 28 OT. SMU got a 4th-and-26 conversion to set up an OT field goal, and the D came through with a pick to seal the win. Trey Quinn caught 17 passes for 186 yards. Courtland Sutton caught two touchdown passes.

58 Houston (4-3)

LAST WEEK 59. Memphis 42, at Houston 38. The Cougars couldn’t come through in the clutch, getting hit hard in the fourth quarter. Duke Catalon ran for hire scores, and Kyle Postma threw for 315 yards.

LAST WEEK 52. at Alabama 45, Tennessee 7. The disaster continues. The offense couldn’t move the ball a lick, and the only score came from the defense. John Kelly was held to 63 yards on 12 carries.

LAST WEEK 66. at Toledo 48, Akron 21. The Rockets got hot right away and coasted. Logan Woodside completed 17-of-24 passes for 304 yards and five scores with a pick.

51 Kansas State (3-4)

LAST WEEK 48. Oklahoma 42, at Kansas State 35. Alex Delton was solid, completing 12-of-14 passes for 144 yards and a score with a pick, and ran 27 times for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

LAST WEEK 46. at UCLA 31, Oregon 14. Josh Rosen threw for 266 yards and three scores as the Bruins pulled away in the second half. UCLA was +2 in turnover margin, finishing with four sacks and 11 tackles for loss.

LAST WEEK 30.Arizona State 30, at Utah 10. The Utes did a solid job defensively, but the offense sputtered. Tyler Huntley threw four picks and no touchdown passes. The Utes ran for just 110 yards and a score.

40 Arizona State (4-3)

LAST WEEK 32. Arizona State 30, at Utah 10. The Sun Devils got out to a 16-0 halftime lead, and cruised from there. The D forced four interceptions, and the O got 140 yards passing and a rushing score from Manny Wilkins.

LAST WEEK 21. at Michigan State 17, Indiana 9. The Hoosiers hung around until late, but gave up 14 fourth quarter points. They committed ten penalties and only came up with 253 yards. IU averaged 2.7 yards per carry.

LAST WEEK 31. Iowa State 31, at Texas Tech 13. Nick Shimonek completed 31-of-41 passes for just 207 yards with a pick. The Red Raiders were outgained 400 yards to 336.

LAST WEEK 93. Up Next: UNLV. Fresno State 27, at San Diego State 3. Insane, but you have to put Fresno State ahead of San Diego State and ahead of Stanford now. The Bulldogs only losses? Alabama and Washington. Jordan Mims ran for 112 yards, Josh Hokit ran for three scores, and the D held SDSU just a field goal.

34 Florida State (2-4)

LAST WEEK 45. Louisville 31, at Florida State 28. The Noles had the game all but won, but a late fumble by James Blackman allowed Louisville to drive for the game-winning score. Blackman completed 16-of-28 passes for 248 yards and two scores with two picks and a fumble.

33 Louisville (5-3)

LAST WEEK 50. Louisville 31, Florida State 28. Blanton Creque hit the game-winning field goal, but it was the Lamar Jackson show – again. He completed 13-of-21 passes for 156 yards and a score, and ran 23 times for 178 yards and a touchdown.

32 Boise State (5-2)

LAST WEEK 23. at Boise State 24, Wyoming 14. The Broncos couldn’t get the offense working until late, and only finished with 342 yards. Montell Cozart ran for 52 yards and two scores, and completed 6-of-7 throws for 73 yards with a score.

31 Virginia (5-2)

LAST WEEK 22. Boston College 41, at Virginia 10. The Cavaliers clunked at the wrong time. The ground game was held to 95 yards and a score. Kurt Benkert completed 17-of-33 passes for 126 yards and a pick.

LAST WEEK 47. at Georgia Tech 38, Wake Forest 24. The Demon Deacons couldn’t do much in the second half getting outscored 25-3. John Wofford completed 17-of-30 passes for 252 yards and two scores with a pick and a rushing score.

LAST WEEK 42. at Miami 27, Syracuse 19. The Orange, if nothing else, showed the Clemson performance was for real, but Eric Dungey threw four interceptions. Dontae Strickland and Dungey each hit the 100-yard rushing mark.

27 Iowa State (5-2)

LAST WEEK 38. Iowa State 31, at Texas Tech 13. The Cyclone defense held Texas Tech to 207 passing yards. David Montgomery went off for 164 rushing yards. Matthew Eaton ran for 32 yards and two touchdowns.

LAST WEEK 28. Oklahoma State 13, at Texas 10 OT. Before throwing the overtime pick that ended up losing the game, Sam Ehlinger completed 22-of-36 passes for 241 yards and ran for a score. Texas finished with just 42 rushing yards. Malik Jefferson came up with a game-leading 14 tackles.
