While the 10 Best Predictions Against The Spread have been fine – going 7-3 in two of the last three weeks – two straight losing weeks on the point totals is NOT okay. That changes this week.

But these ten are right.

Welcome to the point total, over/under picks – the best of the predictions for this week. Which ones are the most obvious to go one way or the other? Here you go.

Top Over/Under Pick So Far: 14-16

Please click on each game for the game preview and fearless prediction.

10. UCLA at Arizona

LINE: UCLA -2, o/u: 75
OVER/UNDER PICK: Over

Let’s just start out with a little bit of fun. UCLA has destroyed the 75-point over in four of its five games this year, and it can’t stop the run a lick. Arizona is going to run wild, Josh Rosen is going to throw for 400 yards, and this should – in theory – be typical Pac-12 fun. By the way, Arizona game have blown past 75 three times.

9. Ohio State at Nebraska

LINE: Ohio State -24, o/u: 58
OVER/UNDER PICK: Over

It’s a flat-out. all-in Ohio State pick. The Buckeyes have scored 54, 56 and 62 points over the last three weeks, and hung up 49 on Indiana. Nebraska has a good enough defense to keep this lower than expected, but at the moment, Ohio State is playing like it could hit the 58 on its own.

Flat-out, all-in, one-team pick No. 2 coming in a bit …

8. Tulane vs. FIU

LINE: Tulane -13.5 o/u: 51.5
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

The problem is FIU doesn’t score, and it hurts.

The Battling Butches are playing decent D when they’re not facing UCF, but they’ve only managed to score more than 17 points once. Tulane doesn’t really score, either.

Don’t be fooled by the 62 put up on Tulsa and its nation-worst run D. The Green Wave have failed to score more than 21 in three of its four FBS games.

7. New Mexico State at Georgia Southern

LINE: New Mexico State -6.5, o/u: 58
OVER/UNDER PICK: Over

I’m going to get this NMSU team right yet. Georgia Southern can’t stop the pass – no matter what the stats say – and New Mexico State can’t stop the run. The Aggies will throw a lot, the Eagles will run a lot, and this will be a shootout.

6. Texas Tech vs. West Virginia

LINE: West Virginia -3.5, o/u: 76
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

I’m going to keep picking Texas Tech games until I get one right.

The two teams should come up with a wild and crazy shootout, but that hasn’t happened over the years. Almost always, one team struggles, or the two play a close game that doesn’t blow up.

WVU games have hit 76 or more twice, while Texas Tech games have also hit the mark twice – both teams have shootouts involving Kansas. This should be wild, but it might not be as crazy as everyone is hoping for.

5. Appalachian State at Idaho

LINE: Appalachian State -12.5, o/u: 51.5
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

Yeah, I know, I thought it was a lock that the defensive slugfest between Louisiana and Idaho would go way, way over, and it wasn’t remotely close.

As it turns out, the Vandals don’t really score, and Appalachian State has a nice defense. Idaho has scored 16 points in each of its two home games against FBS teams, and three of the four Mountaineer games against FBS teams have gone way under 51.5.

4. Georgia State at ULM

LINE: ULM -6.5, o/u: 59
OVER/UNDER PICK: Over

Flat-out, all-in, one-team pick No. 2 … ULM scores a whole lot.

The Warhawks have scored 56, 51 and 45 in each of its last three games. ULM will do most of the heavy lifting on its own, but the Panthers will help with at least 25 points.

ULM will give it up, too, allowing 27 points or more in every game and destroying the 59 point total in every game but a 28-17 loss to a good Southern Miss D.

However, be forewarned – no Georgia State game so far has come all that close to 59, other than the 56-0 Penn State win.

3. BYU at Mississippi State

LINE: Mississipi State -23, o/u: 47.5
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

Alright, this probably shouldn’t be as high as No. 3, but I’m driving through it.

This is a total anti-BYU pick – the Cougars can’t score. They’re averaging under 12 points per game with five of their six games so far falling under 47.5 total.

The danger is Mississippi State, which has scored more than 48 on its own twice and hunt 37 on LSU. But even in that win over the Tigers, the total was 44.

2. Northern Illinois at Buffalo

LINE: Northern Illinois -6.5, o/u: 50
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

It’ll be tempting to hammer Buffalo after that seven overtime scoring-fest against Western Michigan, but NIU is playing some D. Four of the five Huskie games so far have fallen way under 50, allowing 17 points or fewer in three of the last four.

This NIU O doesn’t really crank up the numbers, and Buffalo has a tougher defense than last week showed – UB has been way under the 50 point total in four of its six games so far.

1. Missouri at Georgia

LINE: Georgia -30.5, o/u: 57
OVER/UNDER PICK: Under

Georgia has put up 41 points or more in three of the last four games, and two of those were against Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

The concern is a Mizzou defense that’s allowed 31 points or more in every game, got hit by Auburn for 51, and was drilled by Kentucky for 40. It wouldn’t be crazy if the Dawgs scored 57 on their own.

However, Georgia has yet to play in any game with the total coming close to 57, and why? The defense has been so fabulous. If the Bulldogs shut down Missouri like Purdue did in the 35-3 Boilermaker win, or like South Carolina did in a 31-13 win, there shouldn’t be a problem.
