What’s Going To Happen

It’s danger time for Air Force.

As always, this is a solid team with a good offense and enough plucky playmakers on defense to potentially be fine, and everything looked okay after giving Michigan a hard time.

There weren’t any complaints about a loss to San Diego State, either – the Aztecs are terrific. But 56-38 to New Mexico?

Uh oh.

The biggest concern against the Lobos was the run defense. All of a sudden, the Falcons couldn’t stop a well-oiled ground game, allowing 363 yards and six touchdowns.

Welcome to Navy.

Quietly 4-0, the Midshipmen haven’t plane anyone all that great, but they’re destroying everyone on the ground with over 400 yards in three of their four games including a 569-yard day against Cincinnati.

What’s Air Force’s big issue? It’s not coming up with timely takeaways, and the defense isn’t forcing any pressure behind the line. Navy isn’t forcing turnovers either, and the defense isn’t collapsing anyone’s pocket, but the offensive line is playing at the highest of option offense levels.

The two teams will run wild, but Zach Abey and the Midshipmen will also hit on a few more big pass plays than the Falcons will to take over the game.
