Not a bad night for Georgia, who just checked in at number one in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Shortly after the rankings were released, 2019 5-star outside linebacker Owen Pappoe (Grayson HS in Loganville, Ga.) announced his top-three schools and UGA was included, along with Clemson and Nebraska.

Pappoe ranks as the nation’s number five overall player and as the top outside linebacker.

Though the coaching staff has changed, Georgia has been in pursuit of Pappoe for a few years now. We tweeted this in June of 2015, when Pappoe was just a rising freshman.

If Pappoe does eventually end up committing to UGA, he would be the Dawgs fourth 5-star in the class of 2019.
