Predicting Every Remaining Game On Georgia’s Schedule
This Saturday Georgia faces its toughest challenge yet, and maybe for the remainder of the season in Mississippi State.
Georgia is now 3-0 after beating App State, Notre Dame and Samford to start the season. A majority of college football sites predict UGA to coast through the Eastern division and contend for the SEC Championship in Atlanta come season’s end. However, the Dawgs must first make it through a difficult, yet rather navigable SEC schedule.
Take a look as we make our game-by-game predictions for the remainder of Georgia’s 2017 schedule:
App State: Win (1-0)
Notre Dame: Win (2-0)
Samford: Win (3-0)
Sept. 23, vs Mississippi State: Win (4-0)
A tough game indeed, but I expect Georgia’s defense to send the heat all night long on Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. Georgia’s stable of running backs will wear down an aggressive State defensive front. It won’t be easy, but thanks to the defense and the rowdy atmosphere, UGA wins 20-17.
Sept. 30, at Tennessee: Loss (4-1)
Oct. 7, at Vanderbilt: Win (5-1)
Oct. 14, vs Missouri: Win (6-1)
October 28, vs Florida: Win (7-1)
Nov. 4, vs South Carolina: Win (8-1)
Nov. 11, at Auburn: Win (9-1)
Nov. 18, vs Kentucky: Win (10-1)
Nov. 25, at Georgia Tech: Win (11-1)
Dec. 2, SEC Championship: If Alabama, loss (11-2). If any other team, win (12-1).
If Georgia plays Alabama in the SEC title game, I say the Tide win a close one. If any other team makes it from the West, I’m going with the Dawgs.
