The Rhode Island Rams won 25 games and the Atlantic 10 title this past season

Nevada and Rhode Island have agreed to a home-and-home series, a source told MWC Wire Thursday afternoon.

The two teams will meet on November 13 in Reno, and will have a return matchup in Kingston, Rhode Island in the 2018-19 season at a date that is currently to be determined.

Rhode Island went 25-10 last season, capturing the Atlantic 10 title and its first tournament bid of the century. The Rams return the bulk of its 2016-17 roster, including star senior guards E.C. Matthews (14.9 PPG, 4.3 RPG) and Jared Terrell (12.6 PPG, 2.0 APG).

Both Rhode Island and Nevada will head into this fall as projected conference title favorites, making November’s matchup a definite headliner for college basketball viewers.

Nevada already has quality matchups lined up against TCU in Los Angeles, at Texas Tech, at UC Irvine, and home against Illinois State. The Wolf Pack’s complete non-conference schedule has yet to be released.
