The conference’s most disruptive lineman will be difficult to slow down.
Opposing quarterbacks beware: The Moa Constrictor will be loose every Saturday this fall.
Boise State’s David Moa is next on our countdown after exploding onto the scene in 2016. He led the Mountain West with 8.5 sacks, and he also contributed 10.5 tackles for loss and four pass defenses, garnering first-team all-conference honors for his efforts. If that weren’t enough, he did all of this as a undersized nose tackle (remarkably enough, considering he’s listed at 6’3″ and 271 pounds).
Moa sits atop the Broncos depth chart at defensive tackle now, and he’s already been named to the watch lists for the Bednarik Award, the Nagurski Trophy and the Outland Trophy. With talent to match the hype, he’ll certainly be one of the most exciting players to watch in the Mountain West this fall.
