Here is a chance to see other Boise State football players on the baseball diamond
The Boise State football team got together Thursday night for their Summer Classic Charity softball game with home run derby in a game that featured the offense taking on the defense. Plus, the umpires were from those who cover the team locally in Boise.
The defense ultimately won the game 5-3 and of course there were shenanigans which included a few fake arguments between the players and the umps.
This event is basically the kick off to the upcoming Boise State season as they begin fall camp in just a few weeks, and this was a chance to bond as a team in a non-football setting, plus it was for a good cause.
“I think it brings us closer, building a relationship through something other than football, coming out here competing, running around and having fun, there’s nothing better,” said linebacker Leighton Vander Esch via the Idaho Statesman. “… I feel we’re pretty tight-knit across the team.”
