Date: Saturday, Oct. 29
Game Time: 12:00 pm
Venue: Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium, Amherst, MA
Finally, after several tough battles and good performances, UMass should be able to finally have a little fun. On a five-game losing streak, the offense can’t seem to come up with the right drive at the right time, while the defense can’t stop anyone’s passing game.
When you make South Carolina look good throwing the ball, you’ve got issues.
Turnover margin has been the biggest issue for the Minutemen, ruining several possible turning points with giveaways, turning it over 13 times over the last five games.
Wagner is terrific at winning the turnover battle, doing a great job all season long with a big performance from the aggressive defense that’s been able to overcome several other issues. But this week, the Seahawks are going to have big problems.
Can QB Ross Comis go for the Minutemen? Even if he can’t get past a bad ankle, the defense will take care of things while the UMass offense runs as well as it has all season long.
