Big 12 Media Preseason All-Big 12 Team announced. What are the five things that matter about the early list?

2016 CFN College Football Preview
Predicting Every Big 12 Game

– To absolutely no one’s surprise, Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield was named the preseason Offensive Player of the Year, but to see the hype ramped up and the expectations for Texas, Longhorn LB Malik Jefferson is the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

– Is Kenny Hill really going to be the starting quarterback at TCU? The media thinks so naming him the Newcomer of the Year. TCU is the only Big 12 team without a starting quarterback returning.

– It’s a really, really young team. There’s a lot of overhaul on plenty of Big 12 teams, but there are also a whole lot of good young players with 11 sophomores on the team and just nine seniors.

– Talk about being loaded at running back this year in the conference, Baylor’s Shock Linwood, the Texas tandem of D’Onta Foreman and Chris Warren, West Virginia’s Rushel Shell, and Oklahoma’s Joe Mixon don’t make the cut.

– Eight Oklahoma Sooners make the team. Take a guess whick team will probably be the media favorite to win the Big 12 title?
