The Hornets of Delaware State come into Columbia as nothing more than live target practice for a Mizzou passing game that game really, really close to making a huge statement against Georgia to start out the SEC season.

Delaware State has no offense, no run defense, and it can’t stop giving the ball away so far in its two losses. Other than that, everything is fine.

Mizzoui has uncovered a new star in QB Drew Lock, who followed up a 450-yard day against Eastern Michigan with 376 yards and three touchdowns against Georgia. As good as he was, he threw three picks and the other young gun – Bulldog rising star Jacob Eason – tossed the game-winner.

Lock will get in some work before going on the road to face LSU and Florida, but this is about the running game getting tighter, the O line coming together a bit more, and the defense to tee off.

Enjoy, Tiger fans, because you’re not seeing your team at home in about a month.
