The double-overtime loss to WKU a few weeks ago didn’t end the Conference USA East race, but it meant Middle Tennessee has to be perfect the rest of the way. With three of the next four games on the road, that might seem tough, but it shouldn’t be a problem for a team good enough to beat Missouri in Columbia last week.

The Blue Raiders won’t face anyone the rest of the way who’ll go bowling. The passing attack should be able to blowout on the way to a double-digit regular season, putting the pressure on the Hilltoppers.

The FIU secondary did a decent job of keeping down a dominant Louisiana Tech passing game last week, allowing just 269 yards to the nation’s No. 2 passing game, but it’ll be picked apart by Brent Stockstill and a MTSU attack that should hit over 70% of its passes.

The Golden Panthers have played much, much better than it did over the first month of the season, and while the offense has improved, and there’s a bit more of a passing game now, it won’t be enough to keep up with a Blue Raider O that’ll seemingly connect on every third down.
