Which college football programs are the greatest of all-time according to the UPI and USA Today Coaches final polls?

Bear Bryant’s Alabama program just barely squeaked by Oklahoma, Michigan and Nebraska in one of the tightest decades of them all. Ohio State and USC were neck-and-neck to round out the top six, but the Crimson Tide with their two national titles and consistency throughout the decade made them the star of the 1980s.

Houston rose up with a tremendous run rounding out the top ten, while Arizona State had its best decade with great team after great team leading the way to the No. 11 finish.

Taking all the UPI and Coaches Poll final rankings, CFN devised a scoring system giving every AP national champion 25 points, the No. 2 team 24, No. 3 23, and so on down to the bottom.
