AP All-Time Rankings

Which college football programs are the greatest of all-time according to the UPI and USA Today Coaches final polls?

It’s fitting. Oklahoma is the star of the Coaches Poll rankings overall, and it’s partly because it started so strong finishing in the top spot in the first UPI poll on the way to a tremendous run, and an epic winning streak, in the 1950s.

Wisconsin finished fifth after a great run, but Michigan State was the star of the Big Ten finishing second overall. Army’s era of greatness slowed down, but it was still good enough to finish 11th. while Princeton makes an appearance in the top 25 of the 1950s.

Taking all the UPI and Coaches Poll final rankings, CFN devised a scoring system giving every AP national champion 25 points, the No. 2 team 24, No. 3 23, and so on down to the bottom.
