Cincinnati (4-5) vs. UCF (5-4) Game Preview
Date: Saturday, Nov. 12
Game Time: 12:00 pm
Venue: Bright House Networks Stadium, Orlando, FL
UCF isn’t technically out of the American Athletic title hunt, but that’s realistically out of the picture. Considering it went 0-12 last year, getting a sixth win and bowl eligibility should be more than good enough, even if there’s no title at the end of the fun.
The Knights might not have the offense to keep up in a shootout, but the defense has been strong enough against the decent passing teams, while the offense does a fantastic job of pouncing on key mistakes.
Cincinnati needs to win two of its final three games – with Memphis and Tulsa up next – to get bowling. The problem is that it’s lost four of the last five games with an offense that’s gone into the tank, struggling to get drives going. Worse yet, the defense is unable to stop decent teams from going on long marches.
Neither team is any good in time of possession, but UCF will own it this week against a Bearcat defense that allows teams to convert almost 50% of their third down chances.
The misery will continue for a UC season that should be a whole lot better, and a while lot more fun. Generating points will, once again, be like pulling teeth.

*To be honest, it looks like yet another brutally dull sci-fi thing, but it’s 100%, so you’re supposed to see it or else.
