2016 CFN Preseason All-Pac-12 Team & Top 25 Players

Who are the best and brightest Pac-12 players going into the college football season? Here’s the 2016 CFN Preseason All-Pac-12 Team along with the Top 25 Players.

Previews & Breakdowns of Every Pac-12 Team

2016 CFN Preseason Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year

RB Christian McCaffrey, Jr. Stanford

This is sort of by default since McCaffrey’s the returning Heisman finalist coming off a magical season, but he’s also going to be more than just a marked man this year. He’s the one returning key part to a Stanford team that loses a ton of talent.

Oregon Royce Freeman might turn out to be the better running back, USC’s JuJu Smith-Schuster might be the better pro prospect, and UCLA’s Josh Rosen could turn into the league’s signature star, but McCaffrey is McCaffrey. Everyone will look for pimples on the beauty queen, but coming into the season he’s still the special playmaker who’ll demand watching whenever the Cardinal plays.

2016 CFN Preseason Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year

S Budda Baker, Jr. Washington

The Huskies are returning strong and nasty on defense after going through a transitional period, and the best part of it all is the secondary. An NFL safety who still just so happens to be in college, the local product came up with 49 tackles with two interceptions and nine broken up passes doing just about everything for the defensive backfield. He’s not all that huge at 5-10 and 184 pounds, but he can bring the pop.
