Utah is one step away from the massive game against Colorado for a shot at the Pac-12 title. While the College Football Playoff is all but out of the question with the losses to Cal and Washington, win the conference championship, and then at least the hat is thrown into the ring.

The offense woke up against Arizona State on the road last week, hitting some big home runs in the shockingly easy 49-26 win, and now in the home finale, the attack should have fun feasting on a defense that you and ten friends could hang four scores on.

The Ducks just aren’t playing well.

The decimated defensive front got gouged by Christian McCaffrey last week in a 52-27 loss to Stanford, was destroyed by USC the week before, and is now on a fun run of allowing 41 points or more in six of the last seven games.

Beating Utah would do nothing more than play the spoiler role, but at this point, that would have to do.

The Duck offense is still fun at times, but it doesn’t have the same blow-up ability everyone is used to, even with new star QB Justin Herbert looking like the Pac-12’s second-best new thing behind USC’s Sam Darnold.

But the skill players are there to make this a Utah-UCLA-level shootout with the last team with the ball getting the win.

Get ready for Joe Williams to blow up.

The Oregon defense is getting torn to shreds, and Williams – who ran for 172 yards or more in each of his last four games since coming out of “retirement” – and now, if he gets the ball 25 times, a 250-yard day should be a lock.

Oregon will have a few moments, but this will be all about a Ute defense that lives behind the line, and Utah’s offense doing whatever it wants.
