What Does It All Mean?

LSU vs. Florida, now you really do have to play this thing.

With Tennessee holding things together now with spit, duct tape and prayers, and with Alabama up next, but entire SEC world is about to go haywire … but that’s not why you called.

Tennessee did absolutely everything wrong – with seven turnovers and 12 penalties, and with seemingly the entire team injured – and yet still almost pulled out a miraculous win. Granted, the team won’t quit, but it also keeps putting itself in positions where it has to do something amazing. And this time, Texas A&M was able to make the Vols pay.

Even if it took two overtimes to do it.

This was the first time all year when the Texas A&M defense played like the Texas A&M defense we all know love – allowing 684 yards and having problems coming up with second half stops – but 6-0 is 6-0, and for the first time in 22 years.

The Aggies now have wins over UCLA, Auburn – and yeah, Auburn is playing well now – Arkansas, at South Carolina, and Tennessee. And now they get two weeks to get ready for Alabama.

This continues to be a solid, balanced team that gets the flash by getting the running game going and waiting for everything to break through. Trayveon Williams tore off a 71-yard dash as part of his 217-yard day, and Trevor Knight ripped off 110 yards and three touchdowns – and two scoring passes – to just enough to finally kill the Vols.

And now it’s time to really and truly think about this as a possible playoff team. Rest up, get ready for the Crimson Tide, and then this really gets fun. At the very least, A&M has put itself in a position to do really big things.

Even if it was a dogfight this week to get there.
